Example, what can you do with the land?
The fixed price of the land is 800.000,- baht per rai.
One rai is 20m x 80m = 1,600 sq.m, so total 1600m2.

If you want to build a small house with 2 bedrooms of total 54m2 the building cost is about 450.000 baht, complete with tiles, standard bathroom, european toilet and kitchen set. Buy this land including a new house will cost you approx. 1.2500.00,- baht only. You can make a beautifull garden with the rest of the lot.

Ofcourse you can build a bigger and more luxurious house, depending on your budget. It's for everyone personal.

Lease construction, 600.000 baht
In Thailand foreigners can not own land. Is it wise to buy land in your girlfriend's or wife's name? Its up to you. You can also lease the land for 30 years. Very handy to protect yourself. You then have a lease agreement/contract with a legal company in Udon Thani and it will be registered at the department of land. Its all in your name. Only you have the full right of the land. If you want to lease this land, it will cost you 600.000 baht, that is 1.666,- baht per month only. Within the 30 years lease period you can buy the land and you then pay 200.000 baht extra, so total 800.000 baht.

Should you , e.g. after 5 years, decide to buy the land then it must on your partner's name.
